"Welcome to DA Club" time again!

invited to stella's 21st birthday party at SIA Sports Club.
planned by a friend's friend who is an event organiser i think.
the theme was SUPERSTellAR.
glam and glee.
got us stressed for quite some time just cos we dont know what to wear!
haha.

so at the back of each chair there's a hollywood actor/actress's name pasted behind.
i was lucy liu,
samantha was k-something taylor i think,
eyvonne was robert pattinson,
huifang was someone i totally cannot remember.
ahahaha.

so, when they pick the name, whoever sitting on that chair has to go up to play the game.
both sam and von got picked.
sam was playing some sort of taboo and totally owned everyone else!
godlike.
then she came back down and sat on von's seat cos von was talking to huifang.
boom!
robert pattinson was called.
the mcee was wondering why samantha again.
LOL.

von was up stage to play this question and answer game.
losers have to pick one out of four sandwich to eat.
of which one has chilli sauce in it.

spent friday afternoon doing some house keeping
before the very exciting stay over with my good OLD friends of 8 years.

pour one table spoon of lemon juice into a one-cup measuring cup, top it up with milk, let it sit for 5 misn
step 2, get one large egg, and beat like no tomorrow
step three, add post-5-mins buttermilk to beaten egg
step 4, add in ONE CUP of flour
step 5, add in any fruits ya want, and cinnamon if any
Step 6: 4 TEASPOONs of baking POWDER (best if it is a "double action baking powder"
setp 7: combine mixture, DONT overstir, it MUST stay kinda lumpy
kind, not pebbles inside
it must be just incorporated
take non stick pan, WIPE surface with oil, little bit only ah
heat it up
when it water splatters when on the pan, it is ready
pour in any amount of the batter, up to you, I make HUGE ASS ones
ooops step 8: add in batter after pan prep (that is oil wiping and testing of temperature)
step 9: when bubbles are formed on the surface, and the bottom if set, slip it over
first side takes about 2-3 mins, reserve side, about 1-2
DONE!

wednesday night i was in the office till 3am.

yesterday night till 5am.

dont know what time i'm going to stay till today.

lol.

was so busy in the afternoon that i took 4hours to finish my chicken rice.
eat 1 mouth.
do lots of work.
eat another mouth.
do even more work.
dinner was better.
2 hours to finish fried rice.
lol.

its like a 3 day 2 night work camp.

within 3 days,

i've clocked more than a week's worth of work time.

monday <10hours

tuesday <10hours

wednesday - 19hours

thursday - 21hours

friday - 15hours encounting

total = 75hours encounting.

within this week.

i've already "worked" 8 days.

whats more, i have to go back to work on saturday as well.

hope they compensate me really really really well.

imma go find some stuff to do now.

what an exciting monday morning.

not even 8am.

and i'm already sitting in the office.

even though work starts at 8am.

left half heartedly with OTB at 9plus last night.

SPVT annual camp.

meaning to say i've already graduated for almost half a year already.

aww.

thought everything was going well.

until i got the news that quite a few left the camp, tears were shed and team was falling apart.

felt sorry for the organisers.

i know what it feels like to put in alot of effort to make something work.

but end up getting a bunch of complains and excuses.

especially when its your teammates.

but that was during one of the chalets when the girls team were supposed to organise.

couldnt have done it without the guy's help.

a supposedly happy occasion turned out to be disappointing.

but that was long long ago.

never expected it to happen again.

but it did i guess.

come on, imagine you're the organiser.

you put in so much effort to make this camp work out.

to follow the tradition to have a camp.

to write proposal for camp,

get permission,

book rooms to stay in,

inform the whole team,

seek opinion and accommodate each other to come up with the final camp dates

plan the activities and games,

order the food for bbq,

set up the night walk trail,

get people to station around the area

and all you get in return is people complaining that its boring and leaving the camp as and when they like.

how about that?

its really sad to hear about that kind of stuff happening once again.

i guess people are only complaining cos they haven tried organising anything this big.

cos once they do.

they'll understand.

no matter how bad the camp is,

appreciate what others have done for you.

bonding doesnt come knocking on your door.

you gotta open yours to let others in.

(edit: i just got the news that the nightwalk got cut by half cos of the shortage of people. meaning to say the nightwalk failed due to unexpected circumstances. first nightwalk that was affected by headcount, first nightwalk trail that was cut by half and shortest nightwalk trail ever. triple damage.)

(re-edit: wasnt just half. only a quarter of the original route was left. the other three quarters were cut. mega damage to the organisers. i guess they'll probably re-consider about having another camp. no point if damage > bonding.)

jennifer came over to my house at around 10pm.
talked all the way till around 12am.
before she fell asleep.
woke up at 3am.
showered and left for the airport.
cos we got to be there by 430am.
flight's at 730am.
ridiculous man.
lol.

sat beside ahbu.

on the way to our hotel.
i thought i lost my phone.
panicked like mad.
end up it was in my other luggage bag.
lol

reached the hotel.
ice breaking cancelled.
free and easy all the way.
explored the area.

DAY 2

good morning.
had a hard time waking up.
showered.
blow dye hair.
waited for everyone else to get ready.
took photos like we wouldnt have another chance.

brunch.
man. the instant noodles were GREAT.

classic hongkong feeling.

walked over to this place that's said to have over 400 shops.
ended up to be a branded area.
so we gave that a miss and continued walking to the harbour to go to lan kwai fong.

when we reached the harbour.

paid like 40cents sgd for the ferry tickets.
cheap like dont know what.

motion sickness or something like that.
i forgot the name.
by air cannot.
by water cannot.
you need to walk the WORLD.
or cycle!

yeah. there wasnt much in lan kwai fong like everyone said there is.
cept for the people protesting outside banks.
maybe cos we dont know where to go.
we ended up taking a train back to our place.
its like mrt in sg.
not much of a difference.

ade said we look like goldfish or fishball or something to do with fish.

pump the 2 pathetic balls from singapore.

no photos of our match.
cos no kind souls from the guys team would help us take some photos.
lol.
so we lost the first set.
and won the other two.
and till now i'm still convinced that they let us win.
cos we got trashed on the first match.
c'mon man.
they played short ball, double block and strategies.
while we play single block and the classic receive, set, spike.
its weird that we win.
so yeah. the guys lost all 3 sets.
that makes us the only team and won anything at all.
cos the other sports lost as well.
not very proud of the win though.

so,
Jennifer slept over at her aunt's place for the night.
that makes ahbu alone in her room.
and obviously its not going to happen.
so ahbu slept in our room.
and cos we were too lazy to join the beds together,
ahbu and ade shared one bed.
while i'm pretty much not affected at all.
ahahahhaha.
we did the laundry in the middle of the night.
and did some crunches and leg lift cos we were too guilty over what we ate.
lol.
and we made ahbu teach us what she learnt at dance lessons.
couldnt do it.

Day 3 in hongkong.

woke up early and met jennifer for breakfirst
before heading down to the nearest espirit oulet store.
bought a black pants together with jennifer.
double discount.
ahahahaha.
bought a shawl too
cos the temperature dropped the night before and was so damn cold that morning too.
rushed back to the hotel and gathered at 11am for sightseeing and everything.

i swear i make you all go back hongkong and buy for me.

had team dinner at a restaurant near the hotel.
the food was so-so.
none of us were interested.
we wanted to go back to the hotel to put our things down and go back out.

so we finished dinner.
went back to the hotel.
meet up again after half an hour.
and head back out.
took a cab to monkok where the ladies market was.
went to the shopping center and ade saw a pair of shoes that was quite nice,
i psycho-ed her like hell to buy the pair of shoes but failed,
went to the ladies market,
cab back to the sogo near our hotel area,
ran from the drop off point to the entrance and realised they're closed for the night,
walk to the sports shop just beside the hotel,
shoes were not fitting,
cab back to monkok,
psycho-ed about the shoes on the way,
rush back to the mall to try the shoes,
ade thought about it,
and eventually bought it.
ahahahhaha.
not my money!
the mall closed after right after we left.
heng ppl.
went back to ladies market to help ahbu find shoes for her bf too.
finally everyone got their stuff already,
we went to some roadside stall to eat claypot rice.
it sucked.
nothing like singapore's.
saw quite afew huskies.
damn prettyyyyyyy.
aww.
nevermind.
walked all the way from monkok back to our hotel.
i think it was around half an hour or 45minutes walk.
cos curfew was at 1am.
lol.

_Day 4

Day 4.

woke up early and had team breakfast at this restaurant beside the hotel.
amazingly horrible service.
lol.
if the table had only 9 people,
you'll get 9 har gao.
if there's 10?
take 1 out.
LOL.
budget.

after breakfast,
we spilt up,
ahbu and ade when to SOGO to buy the remaining amount of LAOPOBING that we need.
cos jennifer's relative who lives in hongkong helped us ordered 20 boxes.
but we needed 29boxes.
lol.
so jennifer and i took the MTR to this faraway place to collect the LPBs.
but ahbu and ade could only get 6boxes.
so jennifer and i alighted somewhere near the hotel on our way back and bought another 3 boxes.
very exciting cos we were in a hurry.
rush here rush there.
went back to the hotel and distribute the LPBs before we checked out.

check out the shoe that i psycho-ed ade to buy.
its the exact same design as mine.
but in white.
SG dont have leh.
good buy ok.

we were nearly stuck in HONGKONG.
cos we nearly missed the boarding time.
i think we were still outside when we were already supposed to be at the boarding area.
some kind soul let us jump queue.
and we ran from gate 1 to gate 60-something.
it was worse than 2.4km run.
lol.

so much for 4 days.
kinda felt like going on a vacation with a tour group rather than the team.
free and easy most of the time.
curfew went from 11pm to 12am then to 1am.
gossip many many.

*side note
it was crazy rooming with ade!
we worked out in the middle of the night before we sleep.
to make up for all the shit we ate.
we did the laundry too.
i bet no one else did.
lol.

and i think i had the most loots among the 4 of us that traveled together.
- 3 tank tops ( under 15SGD each )
- 2 blouse (10 SGD each )
- 3 tshirts (under 15SGD each)
- 1 dress ( 30 SGD )
- 1 shawl ( under 20SGD)
- 1 long pants ( 24SGD ) ( from espirit outlet. dirt cheap compared to here. )
- 1 pair of havaianas ( 24SGD ) ( identical to the green havaianas that died on me 30minutes or so before the countdown to new year 09.)

all these are just stuff i bought for MYSELF.
not including gifts for bro and mingshi.

most of the things i bought are cheaper than what it would cost in SG.
cos if its more expansive than SG.
sorry, i'm gone.
was there for cheap stuff only.
ahaha.
but have to dig for good stuff.

the group of us spend almost an hour in an ulu shop
digging our lives away for tshirts.
adidas, nike, puma and more.
cheap and good looking designs.

the spine injury was so random.
was having friendly match with xinmin sec.
already felt that something was right during warm-up.
didnt take much notice of it.

and suddenly we were all hanging out.
every single day.
we chat, crap, gossip, joke, laugh, quarrel.
but still together.
now all graduating already.

so anyways,

i spent one random day at home.....
regretting.
