    Today's special!
    text post

well well well. its been 548925834529 years since i last posted a text post.
i went for National Youth Volleyball Team selection on tuesday (5/9) cos adelina from my SP team called me on Saturday to ask me to go for it.
so yeah, i went for it since some of my SP teammates are going as well.
so a total of 4 SP year 1s went for the selection excluding adelina who is already in the team.
i played like shit cos i couldnt get used to the ball they were using.
it seems to me that i'm playing volleyball with a coconut more than a real volleyball.
so difficult to control the freaking coconut.
(and no, i'm not blaming the ball)
moreover, i'm losing touch with volleyball again.
    it happens all the time.
i was doing well in secondary 2.
but in secondary 3, i lost it all.
    and i dont know why.
i just lost my timing, my skill, my everything.
    and now, history repeats itself.
    aww, i'm sorry my teammates.
i'm not as good as you think i am.
and i definitely cant be compared to you guys.
i totally dont see how you guys get so much energy and stamina.
    alright.
    back to the main topic.
one of my coaches from Jurong secondary school was there.
    (ex-coach)
he totally didnt recognise me until the end of the selection when i was sitting with the other girls eating Old Chang Kee.
    why old chang kee?
the coaches there are so nice.
treat us to Old Chang Kee.
and i guess they think that people who play volleyball are big eaters.
they bought 2 box of Old Chang Kee.
and i suppose there were more than 20 curry puff in the 2 boxes.
we didnt even finish half of it.
and so, while i was happily eating the curry puff, the chairman(or whatever you call him) was giving his "mini" speech.
soon after, the names of those who got into the team was announced.
(ok. not really announced since he didnt know our names. he merely pointed at us individually and said "you, go there.")
    and tada, i got in.
so did my other SP teammates.
that makes 5 SP players out of the 12 who got in.
definitely not because i was a good player.
but only because i was tall.
    =(
and one of the girls there is standing at 1.83m.
like HELLO? she's taller than any other guy friends i have.

    well anyways.
we only get to live once.
and since i got into the team, i'll take it as a new learning experience.
i'm one of the few first timers in the team.
some of them have gone overseas for competition more than once.
i'm totally amazed by all the things that are given to us.
we're basically sponsored from heard to toe.
    2 training tee
    2 casual tee
    1 training jersey
    3 pairs of shorts
    3 pairs of socks
    and more to come,
    1 pair of track pants
    1 pair of shoe
    and maybe even,
    1 bag
    1 jacket
    STUNNING
    (aw, i feel so noob)

so maybe i can start whining now.
i have to reach YY secondary school at 830am tomorrow for training.
    where is YY secondary school?
    somewhere in hougang.
    HOUGANG ok?!
somemore until now i only know how to go via bus from BISHAN mrt station.
    and unfortunately,
the bus ride takes near half an hour to reach YY secondary school.
which means i have to leave my house around 645am just to reach around 815am.
and THAT means i have to wake up at 530am?!?!?!

I WILL AND I MUST SLEEP EARLY TONIGHT.
    Hope.
